Theatre Group

Cherhill Village Theatre has been in existence in the village for 30 years. Over that time members have come and gone, but the main aim of the group remains constant and that is to provide community based amateur dramatic activities which involve all ages and abilities drawn from the local area.

Since its inception in the early 1980’S CVT’s main performance activity has been its infamous annual pantomime, performed at the end of January. This performance always lightens up those dark winter nights with audiences travelling from far and wide.  There has been a vast array of titles over the years from the traditional Mother Goose and Cinderella to the bizarre and wacky Gun Fight at the OK Corral.

In addition to this annual extravaganza, CVT has also performed a range of plays, one night reviews and even an outdoor performance of Toad of the Manor weather permitting of course! Some members of the cast even bared their talents on the BBC’s Country File in 2011!

CVT are always looking to recruit new talent, whether you have a flair for acting, singing, painting, dress making or just want  to come and make the tea, you would be most welcome and we can guarantee you will have some fun! Membership is open to all adults living in or around the village and children from the age of 8 who either live in the village or attend Cherhill School.

Keep an eye of this webpage for details of forthcoming performances including auditions for performers and helpers alike.
